The problem with this crook is that he has no sense of right or wrong. All of that money was his and it just happened to be in other peoples bank accounts. He fixed that.
Link below is someone not that far from me who had a good business doing IT and also did a lot of work wiring up elaborate sound systems for many of the New England Patriots. Also did IT stuff for banks and schools in Attleboro, Ma. Met him at a few C&Cs as he was a car guy. Tall handsome kid with the demeanor of mom and apple pie, with a knock out girlfriend.
His house was raided by a huge team of State Police, FBI, IRS agents at 5:00 am. As the house was searched they had to rent a huge box truck to haul the seized computer equipment away.
A common friend tried to tell me he was innocent, until that common friend was named as one of the addresses that the equipment was shipped to. Not his friend anymore.
So why did he do it? His parents lived with him in his house and each of them got credit cards and ran up about 25k and made no payments. Declared bankruptcy. They had no assets to take and had to undergo credit counseling. Apple don't fall to far from the tree.

More juicy details .. kinda confirms our previous assumptions (which we were criticized for) at some point was was working in cahoots with ownership on some non-reporting money skimming scam. Eventually he turned greedy and started his own scam. Possibly right after Dave Maraj died? The timeline supports this theory.

I also think Dave knew what was going on, and that's why no one else at the dealership bothered to look into it. All this started coming out after Dave's kids took over the business.

Apparently he spent ALL of the $2.2Mm he stole! He didn't even leave the state!! Wow, sometime you wonder what goes through people's minds...how could all of this have been worth it? Now he's certainly going to jail!

It is just as amazing that he evaded for 6months....right under their noses.

I would skipped town. I hope they revoke bail.

Default Did Champion actually reimburse all the victims?

“Months later, all the affected owners have been made whole one way or another", Champion Porsche attorney Roy Diaz told the Orlando Sun-Sentinel

Is this accurate? Have the victims actually been made whole again? I emphasize on "whole" in regards to monetary recovery because I don't expect the dealership to have retunred $2.5 Million to the victims. Or have they just been given recovery that falls short of what they lost? Anyone know someone who has yet to be made whole again?

My guess is all likely signed NDAs .....

I assume that no news (from those scammed) is "good news".

Probably a combination of insurance, corporate money, and champion Porsche forfeiting revenue to the potential buyers.

Be on the lookout for a GT3RS with 'SCAMD' or something similar as a vanity plate - lol.

From the stories I heard, they were fully reimbursing those deposits to buyers scammed by Shiraaz and also getting them into a comparable GT car.

So put down a $15K-$30K deposit to Shiraaz, Champion was making good on it.

What choice do they have? He was representing them and employed by them as a VP.

If they weren't, we'd be hearing about it trust me.
