For those unfamiliar with The Art of War by Sun Tzu, here's the full quote:
“All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.”

Seems that some people have an issue with perceived hypocrisy. I get that, but my views aren't overly influenced by any one person on RL, so it doesn't really matter to me if a particular person is saying or doing things which contradict what they've said or done in the past. Plus, people can change their views about things, so it's not necessarily hypocrisy. I've always said that these Porsche GT cars are meant to be driven hard, but the thought occurred to me that if I could get a new RS, maybe I'd hardly track it, instead preserving it like jewelry and continuing to use the GT3 as the track beater car. Does that make me a hypocrite?

Martin, I was the subject of an RL dog-pile for a gr2rs I sold thru PNH that ended up on RL classifieds. This was when the classifieds section was a comment free-for-all (on a side note, I think I remember u even got in a couple nice jabs ). The car sold. I survived. The sun cams up. It was entertaining enough to me that I asked John to leave it open a couple days after the car sold.
My biggest observation: one of the big reason i like Porsche's is because of the people that like them. They are CRAZY passionate about the brand. They are total nut-jobs just like me. This thread proves that in spades! Show me a Ferrari forum where there's enough passion to argue for 42 pages on a topic like this.

Root causes of this thread:
- Demand for these Porsche GT cars tends to outstrip supply
- Some people try to maximize profit from that situation, or at least own the cars for a while at little or no cost and maybe some profit
- That galls people who buy to the cars to drive them, want to be able to buy what they want when they want it, and don't want to have to pay over MSRP because of profiteering and speculation by others
