yes but i wnat a new one with open card so i can put my name on it then beat the **** out of it
i have an explorer 1 (not the old $$$ stuff) bought it in college rarely ever came off my wrist. raced MTB and crashed with it all rashed up. love it.
i want to do the same with a new 16600
well yes and no.
in the watch world rolex sport line are low end cheap watches.
the good stuff are way more than GT3/RS
but these things are built like tanks. my explorer 1 : i bath / shower with it on for 15 plus year never serviced it.
when i finally serviced it 20 years later. they called me "you have a lot of rusted parts in it, we will repalce those parts"...
despite the rust. it never missed a beat.
it's like an old tennis shoe, it just works. a tool not a jewelry to me.
Now I am curious....what is the "good stuff". Humble Rolex owners want to know.
Thanks! It goes down easier when someone can drop $17M to buy Paul Newman’s personal Daytona. I received a letter from Paul back in the day and always admired the man.

yes "turbo" said it
patek
audemar
vacheron
JLC
journe
lange

they are more like artwork in that many have very very complicated movement. tracking moonphase, world time. blah blah... mechanical marvels.
expensive
beautiful
but i am too rough for them

I know a bnib comex 16600 that is being currently sold for 150k. Id rather buy gt3 though.
i get them every year at msrp. i send them to friends at msrp.
i really love them, but i am blind ... (yes scary that i track.... but when you can't see you go fast) and can't read daytona's dial ....
SDDS is big enough that i can guess what time it is. i am waiting for a 50mm SDDS ;-)
sport line with jubilee bracelet is just wrong. it's like GT3RSR with air cond seats.
soon you will have presidential bracelet on explorers....
fleecing of the brand... hum.. am i talking about porsche or rolex.
if you are accepting applications for friends let me know mooty lol
jubilee was on 4-digit and 5-digit GMTs so I can understand why they are bringing jubilee to the new ceramic SS Pepsi but with the thicker lugs and case not sure in reality how it will work...although I trust Rolex has thought this through since they move at a snail's pace

True - Mac/Ferrari/Lambo more like AP/Patek

But I really want that pepsi GMT knowing that it's less scratch-prone SS
Enjoy in good health thats a great watch. The SS on the Pepsi will scratch more than your watch and the PCL are polished which is more like jewelry/less like tool watch and also shows the scratches more. I do wish that Rolex kept the brushed bracelets for the SS models. One thing I do not like about my Daytona

Hehe I can see/have heard that argument but to *me* they are the Porsche of watches - high quality, *relatively* cheap compared with competitiors for what you get, very robust/durable as I wear mine daily and do not baby it...so I enjoy both brands

Yes Daytona can be hard to read at times, but it's so beautiful

Bingo - that echelon of watches is very expensive and the people that have those pieces are some of the biggest whales I've ever seen (AP/Patek/Lange grand complications etc)
congrats!! been on the wait list for one since watch was announced....I'd kill for one but not playing the ADM game
need one to complete my land, sea, and air collection
Managed to get mine at msrp ... I had to pay over for my blue sky dweller.
basically the same as my GT cars, most I can get at msrp, I had to pay adm on the 2RS because my dealer did something similar to me as the OP's dealer.
