As far a SS models, went in to follow up on a Daytona C yesterday, and ended up walking out with a Sub LVc:
Still looking to add a Daytona C (black or white dial), plus on the waiting list for the new SS Pepsi GTM with jubilee bracelet. LVc will compliment the YMII for now:
Of all the extravagant purchases in the world the expensive wrist watch tops the list. Simplicity is elegance and complexity is the mother of garishness. To walk around with a mini copper attached to your wrist sends the wrong message. I don't mean to offend anyone, but wearing one of these monstrosities speaks poorly of the individual especially when a $100 Timex functions as good if not better.

Honda Civic can also get you from point A to Point B... so why get a GT3.. come on now... don't be silly....

NVM... everything was going so well until...
Honda doesn't perform as well as a GT3 getting from point A to B. Also, you could buy a knockoff for $200 if there is a need to show your arm strength.
But you're right I should hold my opinion on this. FWIW, I am not alone in my opinion regarding extravagant watches. It's a source of humor to many.

Thank you for your input, Nick. From now on I’ll make sure I spend my money as you and others see fit.

I don't get the watch thing either. I have no interest in them and stopped wearing one back when mobile phones became a thing. But everyone's different and I know a lot of people who roll their eyes at us for spending tons of money on pretend race cars. And I can certainly appreciate fine watches as works of art. So to each his own.
spend your money as you see fit
losing 20k on sales tax on a car doesnt faze me one bit.
buying $10 sweat pants at costco, i cannot do. my oil soaked one is just fine.
$15k bicycles are no problem
but i only buy women cycling socks b/c they are always on sale and i can save $1.00 a pair...
yes i HAVE SOME SERIOUS ISSUES.

Anything that is very difficult to do should be appreciated. It doesn’t need to be your thing to appreciate watchmakers getting all that function, mechanically, into such a small and aesthetic package.
As as said above, it’s a little silly if not full on hypocrisy to think spending a quarter million on a fake race car is a good decision but 5000 for a watch is somehow more foolish.
Its just a different flavor of success borne lunacy. Thankfully we can be so crazy!
