Bar is in now. It's a bit heavier than I thought but guys at BBi had it ready o go and I couldn't pass on it.So the interior is coming together piece by piece.

New car weight with the driver and a harness bar is 3268lbs. I am 155lbs.

What is the weight of the BBI 1/2 roll cage? Is it 36 lbs (3268-3077-155) or were there other changes in between your measurements?

Thanks for confirming the weight I've been looking at different cages and am planning to go with BBi as well and had a hard time finding its weight. Did already think my computed 36 lbs was on the low side given that others run from 41 - 50+ lbs.

Fun project

very cool project. as others have said i would have gone with cup or clubsport from a safety standpoint. yes you would not be able to drive either to the track...

but as you said you like building what you want, so that stands for something.

Got it put together somewhat and ready for a first shakedown at Laguna. It's been a year or so since i drove 911 at Laguna so may take some time to remember how do drive this car. For now i just got it aligned and otherwise it's stock wheels/tires combo. Car came with year old N0 spec Cup 2s so i figured I'll give them a try.

I also acquired Cup car front lip and decided to swap with a stock and test the aero balance.

Laguna Pips are on!
