Laguna Seca was great as always! Car exceeded my expectations on the shakedown run ... Felt good but still a lot of work needs to be done at address aero and mechanical balance on the car.

Over Turn1 the rear of the car was pretty light and loose and having it go sideways at 120mph plus not always the feeling i am looking for. So front Cup lip definitely works on the car and helps to cure some understeer. However it induced oversteer and I need to get that worked out now.

The best lap time of the day was 1:36.66. I believe it can get to 135 with a better setup. My predictable time was 1:36.04 on one of the runs so it can definitely get under 136 with some seat time and better setup.

Was lots of fun to chase a bunch of my friends with 991 RS. Overall was a good day and learned something new

Thanks! We're almost there Aleks. You'll shave another roughly 33 unsprung lbs. with our complete AP Racing Radi-CAL brake kit. I definitely look forward to hearing your impressions.

Have you gone with a Lithium Battery yet? Saves about 42lbs...We are a new site sponsor, and just released our latest and most technologically advanced lightweight lithium battery on the market.

My company is Antigravity Batteries, we recently became Vendors here on the site. We just introduced our new RS-30 Lightweight Lithium Battery, it's the most advanced lithium battery you can buy. It weighs 10.5Lbs, and has over 1000 cranking amps, but the kicker is it won't ever leave you stranded! Meaning it has our proprietary "RE-START Technology" which is like having built-in Jump Starting. In effect, this battery monitors its own voltage and puts itself to sleep just before being drained dead....yet save just enough reserve energy to RE-START your vehicle! All you do it push a button on the battery to "awaken" it, start the vehicle and drive off, no need for a jump starter or assistance. It a massive game changer in batteries. Other Lithium Batteries will be damaged if you over-discharge them, ours can't be over-discharged or damaged and offers a full Battery Management system inside preventing over-discharge, over-charge and has full balancing of the Lithium Cells as well as temperature protections. Also has a built in fuel gauge (battery capacity indicator) on the battery..... it's also very inexpensive compared to the $4000.00 dollar Porsche battery, and much more advanced.

You can check it here if your looking to lose some weight on your build. It's more compact than the Stock Lead/Acid battery, and we are developing and drop-in fit kit for it so you will just be able to use the existing battery hold-downs though it is smaller. https://shop.antigravitybatteries.co...omotive/rs-30/

I'm enjoying this tread so far. I am doing something similar with my 2015 GT3.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of times are the RS's running at Laguna Seca?
