Since i have Akrapovic rear muffler from my previous 991, i decided might as well to put it. The difference in weight between stock and Akra mufflers with tips is 6lbs. Not a lot but little by little numbers add up.

At the same time, I added 911R lower diffuser which is 2lbs heavier than stock. So overall net weight savings 4lbs.

Race headers and side deletes would be great for a track setup. Lose weight/heat and gain performance. Can't wait to see what else you have in store for this

Because 1000-1500 / day running costs turn into 3000/day running costs.

If you switch to the Akrapovic Evolution Race Line you bump horsepower up by 27, torque by 37 ft-lb's, and shed 49 lbs over the factory system.

Also, HRE offers the R101 Lightweight which beats the BBS FI-R in weight and sheds 27 lbs over the factory wheels.

buying Cup car is the easiest part. But then you need to get a truck, trailer, crew to run it and so on. Then you are faster than 99% of guys in your group and running by yourself. With GT3 I can run with my friends and it's just a lot less headache.

Plus I enjoy the process of building this car the way I want/like . If I wanted to go racing, I would certainly get a cup car.

Spent some time on the interior:

After seeing mooty's radio delete on his mango i decided to get rid of my radio I don't listen music on the track anyways ... One of my favorite mods so far

Since the radio was gone, it was time to remove all the speakers, and the amp. At the same time door panels came off and the LWB seats. I really like the fit of my Pro Racer SPG seat so it was a good time to fit it in.

Without door panels, car looked kinda messy ... I hate messy/dirty cars.

Luckily PMNA has a perfect solution so new door panel were ordered. With some creativity and time, door panels got put on.

and a friend gifted me a set of track mats so that got put on as well.

Still lots of carpet to remove. Plus the un-needed wiring. Air conditioning and all its parts & hoses. That's a big chunk of weight!

I'd hold on to the seats and other stock parts as well. It's hard to get a 991.1 with the buckets. I looked.

Did you think about just getting a 997.2 cup car?

Aleks,

Can you share more info on:
Where door panals were ordered?
How much?
What modifications required to install?
Any extra door install pictures?

Thanks!

Thomas
