In a racing car during the racing weekend is perfectly normal. They can risk and try go above limits. But not that much for a production car from showroom. Put the normal seat back again in GT3.2 and let's see if the gap between GT3.1 is still 15s. Almost the same car and 15s difference. That's ridiculous. GT3 is not that deadly quick as GT2 RS so i would not worry about safety that much. Margin for error will be bigger.

Yes that's true ! I was not thinking in terms of the Nurburgring when I wrote that. Spa Francorchamps and Zolder are my hometracks, so they skew my thinking.
Allow me to rephrase my 10 laps. Make that at least "30 minutes of continuous lapping" ! That would roughly equate to about 10 laps at Spa and 15 laps at Zolder :-)

Almost seems impossible with 520hp (underrated). I wonder what those Michelin Cup2 R's look like?
