Few of mine, LHD, 90 litre tank, no FAL, PCCB, 918 buckets, 991RS top mounts, tartan seat inserts, Endless brake pads and BBS mags. My favourite 911 after a dozen or so, 26k miles now.

And it was Jet Black Metallic🖤🖤😎😎. The 991 Touring is the one to have. Not only do I like everything about the car better than the 992, they made far less of them.

Do you think they made far less of them? I'm still trying to get a worldwide production number of the 991.2. No one seems to know the ROW numbers while the USA numbers are pretty locked in.

I do. The 991 Touring was not made during the entire run of the 991.2 GT3. Early on some were skeptical about the Touring. With the 992 I believe there were a lot more people that went for the Touring. I know my dealership has sold many more 992 Tourings than 991’s and they even have several for sale now. It would be nice to know worldwide production, hopefully we will get those numbers one day.

Porsche controlled the 992 touring allocations / production unlike the 991.2 production which was controlled by client demand.

I hear what you're saying about the touring being a late option.

I do think the Chris Harris thing has an effect too.

Big fan of black with this car. I love that the release color for the 992 S/T was black. You don't get the crowd pleasing like you get from PTS, but in real life, it's beautiful and sinister. And the low key makes a lot of sense in a Touring. Just got to make sure it's clean! A dirty black car is no good.

We had a break in the weather and got to go out on a nice little drive. For me, Porsche managed to really find that perfect balance of being just raw enough to be super engaging, but not annoying. I don't know that I'd change anything about it.

The 991.2 Touring is the 991.1 R's (subjectively) better looking little brother with an objectively better engine and an objectively more attractive price entry point. The funny thing is, even though the R is limited to 991 examples, the 991.2 Touring is not exactly a dime a dozen. Hence, the ever-increasing price for good examples, including the $242,000 ($60,000 over MSRP) hammer price on an online auction today for a low-mileage Touring without buckets.

No doubt, the R is a special vehicle and I would love to have one with a SMFW in my stable, but for $1,000,000 (which is what one sold for recently)? No way it is worth (to me) the $800,000 delta for price of admission for a used car, over the PTS Touring that was designed to my exact specifications (for $210,000 - including a $10,000 ADM - back in 2019). I know, hard to believe, right?! #blessed

I think you can get an R for significantly less than $1,000,000. The one that sold for that was parts of the “White” collection and is not in line with true values. That said, an R is still at least double the cost of a Touring.

I agree that the allocations for the 992 were controlled but they still seem to have made more of them at least from what I have seen. The true answer can only come from Porsche itself.

Awesome! Got mine to 190mph and I stopped because I figured it wouldn’t get there with a 197mph top speed. What are 991rs top mounts?
