It would be interesting to see a video breakdown before and after of that DSC-sport in action. Would it improve lap time or just overall feel of the drive?

Both. Per Mike Levitis, " Around Summit Point it's 2 sec faster" and that's a 1:22 ish track not pushing it. In both sport and regular mode, you can instantly feel the chassis is more compliant as soon as you hit the first bump in the road.
Another way to describe it, you know what it's like to drive a sports car with summer tires in the cold vs warm? Or driving around on old tires vs new rubber. Those bumps in the cold become jarring but the bumps when it's warm are better handled. I think that's the best way to describe the stock vs DSC suspension changes. Driving around with the stock suspension tune is like driving with cold tires in the winter. Every bump is just bigger.
The other benefits are cornering, rolling bumps, braking, acceleration etc. It's active all the time, just not when your riding over a expansion joint.

Had a blast at Tail of the Dragon. The Cherohala skyway and Highway 28 to Franklin were also amazing to drive. Couldn't have asked for better road conditions or a better car to enjoy them in.

Friends and I do this drive annually, never made it down to Franklin via HWY 28. I’ll add it to the list for next year. Did you take it off the 129/The tail?

What time of year do you like best? We were a little worried about rain ruining the weekend but thankfully it was nice and dry.
We stayed in Robbinsville and hit up 28 first thing in the morning on our way out of the region. But from 129 you can hop onto 143 in Robbinsville to NC-28 which turns into US-74 then back to NC-28 in Bryson City which is the really good 20 mile stretch that takes you into Franklin.

I find this time of the year a bit busy, especially on the Skyline. I prefer early May and we often go mid week in July.
Just traded my 991.2 Winged for a Dolphin Grey Touring. Hoping to get a run in the North Georgia Mountains soon! It only seemed right for it to sit under the Maritime Blue 992.

Congrats! Curious for the reason behind the switch if you don't mind sharing.

I always wanted a Touring. When I decided to get a 992 GT3, I thought I would get a touring. But I actually ended preferring the way the 992’s look with a wing. Hence the Maritime car. After owning a 991.2 GT3 for a while I knew it was something I wanted to keep for a long time and wasn’t willing to give it up for anything. I think there are a lot of Porsche owners that feel the same way about 991.2 GT3’s. So I decided to trade my Winged Guards car for a more subtle touring model. I personally think these Tourings are going to be one of the greats of this era and am very excited to have one in my garage.
