You know; after all my kidding about this Touring edition, I am enjoying the pictures. I kind of get this car although I prefer the Wingey but it is a nice looking car. It has the front aggression of the Wingey with the smooth lines of the 911 that the Wing draws your attention away from.
Congrats to those lucky enough to get one. I would like to see one local and put it side by side to my .2 Wingey
Outside of the likely answer of selection bias (i.e. it's a poll on RL), anyone have any explanation for why/how PTS represents about 35% in the Touring color poll?
Jimmy, while subtle, I'm just not a fan of badges... might look cool plain. Opinion might change when I actually see one in person.
And wish they continued the rear grille below the gurney flap like on the R and GTS. It would have added a lot to the look. Just being nit picky.
That's the only small complaint I have about the looks of the touring. That small grill just ads a nice, meaner look. I'm a bit surprised they left it out.

I imagine it was simpler and cheaper to keep the same rear facia per the winged GT3. But I agree, the mesh on the .1 seres does look better. For your info, I have mocked versions and painted the gurney flap black. I think it works enough to consider it being vinyl blacked out on mine.

Wow I'd love to see those mocks if possible? I was contemplating the same, as early on the configurator had a bug which painted the Gurney flap black and I though it looked quite cool.
Here are a few renderings we have done for future owners of real specs that will be being built soon! We have many more completed and in the works, but are keeping those private. There will be some special surprises along with them. Stay tuned!
Ok so I still don’t have my car or any word when CARB approval is coming. It was supposed to be in today or tomorrow, but I understand they bumped it back to the original 2/2 date. We shall see.
Anyway, I did get floor mats which should mimic the touring seat center fabric. Sisal black from cocomats. Excellent quality as always (I have the original style cocomats in my 993).
Won't get mine until end of the year, and already thinking about ripping off the 'GT3 Touring' badge. Wondering if it's just glued on.
lol, i wanna do the same! i'm hoping its just screwed on like the 911r badge. there's a guy who installed the R grille on a carrera here https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1024...l-install.html and obviously no badge.
Haha I waste hours trying to find the 'perfect' PTS color... and few look as great as GT Silver with black accents.
I agree it looks great. This was my initial colour combo choice. If you are intending to keep the car for a number of years, however, I dont feel the black wheels will age that well. I suspect I would get a bit bored of looking at them with time. I think of the non PTS combos, the white with silver and silver wheels is the pick. Quite subtle, and I think immune to the passage of time.

I feel like platinum is a good compromise. But I wonder if that too would get old soon.
