Good thing is some one will certainly be willing to swap with you.

Just post you are looking to swap for the Standard wheels. Some one will take the upgrade - I am certain of that.

Most on the R were satin aluminum, since it was a $0 option then.

Satin aluminum should look fine. But will be a PIA to keep clean with steel brakes.

I thought about the satin aluminum, but I went with standard silver wheels.

Your dealer pic pic must be misleading if they are satin aluminum. Chris88s car is what I know satin aluminum to be. Like on my RS.

Thank you. I plan to drive my car down to LA sometime. It would be interesting to compare ours cars together with the Silver and Black trim.

I wanted the side decals with Porsche in red as well, but my SA told me that he was unable to order them with my VIN because these specific decals (among others in other colors) are exclusively for 911r cars.

In the end I’m still pleased with the result.

You were right - and for all the guys who chimed in for me to take a step back and look at it in proper light..you were all right. After scouring countless all pictures on the net available - noting the wheel was from the 911R and reading about the history of the Satin finish...I think now I have the right choice for what I wanted which was a brighter look. Although the standard silver of the stock wheel is closer to the aluminum window trim, the fact that the Satin is a tribute the matte finish of the 70's RSR was enough to make me think, that it is the right choice - at least rationalized it

. I apologize for the lamenting on what should have been on of the highlight of the year on receiving my beautiful car - particularly to the guys who haven't been able to get an allocation.

Next step installation of a black 'shadow' rocker stripe with red Porsche logo, light tint, 3M. My 993TT is advertised on the Mark Motors Porsche web site (in Canada) if anyone has an interest in a very special air-cooled.

I don't think you could have gone wrong with either. I did satin because I wanted it to be whiter and in case I decide to do a stealth wrap.

I actually have to go into my dealer this weekend before my build locks next week. I changed my spec so many times that I want to make sure the right one locks!
