Just under $200k base is my prediction. RL always gets so carried away with forecasts, despite Porsche being very predictable historically.

That's my expectation, though by the time you end up spec'ing one especially with new PTS prices (which I wouldn't be shocked if that further rises for the RS), most cars will end up easily approaching and eclipsing mid 200s

Same info on my side. A friend wants his car build without particulate filter and before the factory shutdown.

i saw with my eyes the allocations until Aug.2018 at a dealer.
approx. same amount as GT2RS allocations.

i heared it too - that it will come with the particulate filter after the factroy shutdown. but never saw something with my own eyes or heard it with my ears from a reliable source - also i don´t know anybody with a allocation within EU after Aug.2018.

my feeling says it will come as Chris and 928 say.
but till now i couldn´t prove it.

if they want to stay NA with 992 - they need to bring the/a 4.0 or also 4.xl engine to Euro6c.
the filter will eat a couple of horses - i guess around 5%. those 20hp i guess are not that easy to find...
but for sure they could it with a 4.2l...

It has so many scoops now that I think there is an argument for darker colour to reduce the contrast a bit.

It's not that easy just to install a part. filter. They have to make some major changes (engine management, hardware, ...).
AND it will never be the same (sound, power, performance curve of the engine, ...).

That's why I have some doubt.... but Chris is usually right with his statements

Is it for sure early cars, built before summer shut down won't have this issue?

If that is the case I will ask my dealer very nicely for an early slot

Will this particulate thing effect the GT2RS too do you think?

I don't see any reason de produce two versions of le GT3.2 RS in the same short period.
I suspect Porsche to push forward the production of GT2RS before they begin de produce the GT3.2 RS.

Hmmm, maybe this particulate filter Albatross will make the .1RS even more desirable?

I can't seem to figure out why the filter is an issue at all. Nobody seems to know whether it might rob power or kill the sound or otherwise have any tangible effect on the car.

Anything that obstructs exhaust flow will cause a loss of power, holding all other things constant. We don't know anything about how they will design and integrate it yet, so it is all speculation until we know more. First thing I'd like to know if it will be standard across all markets or just for those subject the Euro6c.
