Arctic - thin look, but a very pure classic sports car silver
Polar - deeper look to it, but very blue in tone
GT silver - deep look, but more brown / dark in tone
Rhodium- as a very sligh bluish but nowhere near as much as Polar. Also has a very liquid deep look to it
Of the silvers available now, i like rhodium. I had it on my GT4 and really really liked the look of it.
rhodium is the best of the current silvers being offered...makes GT look brown much the same way that polar looks super blue next to a whitish arctic silver from the 993 days.
I have a Rhodium GT4 and a GT Silver 991 and I much prefer Rhodium to the GT, which I recognize usually puts me in the minority...and I'm OK with that. Adding some red bits to Rhodium creates some classic contrasts.
If I am lucky enough to snag a GT3 Touring allocation, I may do a repeat. (In the GT4 world, Rhodium is the single most rare color, outside of DBM, which was discontinued shortly after production began, and of course PTS colors, any of which are rare.)
I love my rhodium. Itâs bright and very silvery and looks great in the sun. When I think of silver thatâs the color in my mind. Gt is cool but too much brown in it for my tastes, rhodium has just the right amount of blue in it too keep it from
Being too dark.
As I said above, love rhodium- will get in on a car in near future.
That being said, I brought this up before, but where are you guys getting brown from GT Silver? Is it darker then Rhodium - yes. But never once have I ever looked at my GT Silver RS and thought "I love my brown car." Even in the fall with the backdrop of brown leaves it doesn't have even a hint of brown in it.
