What PTS colors are most unique?

Sepia brown has been approved for years. Don't know how many were painted this colour, but possibly only one or two. It has been described as baby diarrhea, but it could be a nice colour on the right car.
Not sure this one's Sepia brown but looks close.
Back to the OP's question, I wouldn't necessarily aim to be unique. You can't predict what others are getting. Case in point, I got what was a very rare colour when I ordered it (Fashion grey), but subsequently there have been quite a few more of them, including 10 GT3s made by Porsche and 25 RRV editions, etc... and now there's chalk which is similar. Voodoo is amazing, that's why there are so many of them. Just get what you want and don't worry about the next guy.

I think the real expensive ones would be the most unique, the 918 Liquid metal silver and liquid metal chrome blue I think were $63000 options. BMW has a Pure metal silver that was $10,000. Ferrari has there formula 1 car colors as options as well. F1 2007 is a great red...

I never heard of 'Boardman Blue' nor is it
on the approved PTS list of Porsche. Looks
like 'Mint' to me!
Apparently it is a matching Cayenne Turbo S!

an early 991 'Cognac Metallic' (a color briefly offered
in the .1 991 & quickly discontinued) that was a PCNA
car. See the license plate of both cars!
'Sepia', an uni/solid color, is much prettier!
***
In fact, 'Sepia Brown' is a 911 color from my
youth that is making a come back!
So is 'Bitter Chocolate', although I don't think
that has been requested yet on the 991/718:
*
The sh*t color that is thankfully NOT coming back
is the 356C's ('64/'65) 'Special Color' oddly named
'Togo Brown' (color code 6411)!
We got that color safely buried at the
cemetery for unpopular Porsche colors
at Feuerbach, just outside Zuffenhausen!
May it rest there in peace!

On the meaning of a 'unique' PTS...
the patience & drive to get a truly
'unique' color feasibility tested for
Paint-to-Sample on their custom
order. More than 90+% choose
at PTS color requested, tested,
approved & ordered by someone
else! So much for 'unique'!
Here are a few attempts to get to
a 'unique' PTS color for their Porsche
custom order. Some were approved
...others denied. But at least they
gave it a shot:
***
Any of you, if you have a dealer & PCNA on
your side, can request feasibility on a PTS
color. I always say that you can try to get
your wife's lipstick approved...and you might
get it done! The program is called 'Paint-to-
Sample' for a reason! But it takes time &
effort to get it done.
***
In my few years at Rennlist tracking PTS, I only
remember a few Rennlisters even attempt to get
a color they wanted approved for PTS by Porsche!
They are, if memory serves me well, as follows:
djcxxx - 'Tangerine/Bloodorange' - Not Successful
Brett - 'Storm Black Pearl Metallic' - Successful
Green Lantern - 'Chartreuse or Linden Green' - Successful
Less than 3 mph - 'Signal Orange' - Not Successful
Anonymous 918 - 'coppaflorioblau' & 'Light Blue Celeste/Pantone 552C' - No on the first & Yes on the second!
rave426 - 'Arrow Blue' - Successful
evilfig - Not yet disclosed to public...about to start feasibility!
So if you truly want a unique color for your PTS
order, get to work!
***
The process is not 'confidential', however. So
others will know the color is undergoing feasibility
study because the PTS list regularly updated by
Porsche does list any 'new' color requested for
feasibility & approval. For example, 'hot rod
pink metallic' has been 'outed'! But unless
it's a vintage/historic color at Porsche or another
automotive brand, that revelation will not signify
anything of 'value' to a copycat!
Regardless, good luck to all on their quest for
a 'unique' PTS!

Eduardo

I love rossa corsa. I posted before about trying to get PTS rossa corsa for my .2 GT3, but I was discouraged from doing so, by rennlist posters who felt that Ferrari "owned" that color and no one should dare consider ordering their Porsche in that color.
