Default Voice Control option on Configurator

I noticed that Voice Control of the PCM functions has recently been added to the configurator as a no cost option. Debating whether to add this before my order locks in a few weeks. Does anyone have an opinion on this option or know how it is activated? Is there a hard button added to the console or is it activated through the PCM? Thanks!

Wonder if I'll get it?
Ordered the car with it, Then it said it wasn't available.
Now they say it is.
Car was assembled 9/20
We will see if I do.

Just added it to my build!

Surprised porsche didn't charge me for the ink to sign my buyers agreement so this is nice at $0

I've not seen anything to indicate there is a different steering wheel with voice control. Hopefully it is enabled and keys off of an audible, like other hands free devices (ie ok google).

Activated by button on the end of the turn signal. May be other ways.

Used to be the SA had to manually enter the option on your build sheet; otherwise, no get. Better make sure on that if you really have your hopes set on getting it

Word is it's no good.

Wish I had it to see for myself.

Get it. ASSUMING it's same as these Macans with the latest PCM. If you're getting CarPlay or whatever Porsche calls it. This macan loaner I have has CarPlay and has the voice control. The button on the end of the turn signal stalk activates Siri on the iPhone (assuming that's what you use) and allows voice control of the Navi, etc.

That's CarPlay. It's independent from the voice option. The PCM will have CarPlay and Siri without the option. The voice option allows voice control of the native functions of the PCM. In my F150 I have CarPlay and Sync voice control, with a short press you get sync voice control, a long press get siri. I would assume this will work the same.

I had my SA add the voice control to my order back in Aug.

Question is: Will the turn signal stalk have the button with or without the voice control option. You definitely want the button there...

Button will be there, like my wife's Macan that doesn't have voice control. Any dealer order car does not come with it. Only customer orders. Here's a picture of the stalks from the gallery for the GT3.Bottom stalk to cruise control, top is the turn signal with voice button on the end.

My order has voice control. It used to be customer order cars only and not on the configurator. You had to make sure your SA put it in.

Thanks, I was mostly concerned that the option might require some unsightly addition to the cabin that I would later regret.

It's no cost because it's no good. It didn't even work properly in the showroom when I picked the car up at the dealer.
