Just spent 3 days bombing the Swiss Mountian passes around Andermatt (Furka, Grimsel, Susten, Nufenen, Oberalp, Gotthard and San Bernadino) followed by 3 days cruising the roads around Lake Como. I had my family come out from Australia especially for the trip so I dressed" it up a bit with decals for the cars, special "team" polos and caps. It was a real bucket list event.
We had three drivers so I took my GT3.1, GT3.2 and M2 which made for some very interesting back-to-back comparisons along the way.
Now it's on to St Moritz for couple of days followed by the Stelivo Pass and the Passes that make up the Sella Ronda. Sheer driving bliss.

thanks for the pics! Looks like a blast. Please post more time permitting.
I pick up my Carmine Red 991.2 GT3 on October 6th in Leipzig, hopefully weather permitting will be heading down into the same area-- Austria Grossglockner --> Sella Ronda-->Merano to Stelvio Pass-->back to Stuttgart for drop off. Less then a month away, cant wait.

Yup! Very cool! Going on Swiss Alpine Passes trip next week with the Porsche group, it looks like it should be some of the same passes. Milano->Andermatt ->Lago di Como -> Lombardei -> Milano. Should be a lot of fun!!!

Completely coincidentally, the day we arrived into Andermatt, we got swarmed by hundreds of car spotters as we entered the village. Our reaction was WTF!
Turns out the Super Owners Club were holding a 3 day event and had taken over the joint. I have never seen a more impressive collection of cars anywhere in the world and that includes Goodwood FOS. Suddenly, my two GT3s and M2 felt small.....although the 4.0 gathered lots of comments.
The attached photos are just a small sample.

Great trip! I loved driving some of those passes on my ED. Hope to hear more about your comparisons between the .1 and .2. (Cool cobalt GT1!!-- apparently that's the same one that was previously yellow)

This is a link to a P-Car-Centric magazine which has several volumes regarding Mt Pass Trips in the Alps along with many photos and some commentary about the adventure.
I have cycled many of these passes and they are incredible. Choose your day and time to drive them well as the traffic can be horrendous during the peak of tourist season. This area is within a 4-6hr drive of many of the large European population centers. I would not go during August.

We bumped into a Porsche travel group during our trip. They do not drive very fast. So if you are looking for some exciting driving you may be disappointed. We attacked the passes 100%. We were not there for a cruise!
