Would love, just once, someday, to see him actually lap a track without sliding the car all over the place.

This vid was previously posted but always enjoy it. Impressive that the .1RS is still "a daddy" even when compared with such new impressive iron as the AMG GTR which is a beast!

That 356 vid is awesome. Why can't he just drive like that when he's reviewing a car, rather than playing Formula Drift all the time. Do any of you guys drift your cars around on public roads or on the track?

That AMG is pretty slick. Not a Merc fan but when the BS continues with Porsche GT cars I am sure they may get a few customers.

Yes thats an old vid - I haven't seen a timed test where the .1RS wasn't beaten by the AMG GT R. I think Autocar found the AMG GT R was substantially better/quicker in the wet.

Anyhow, its the driver that'll split these cars with edge going to the AMG GTR

GT3.2 and GTR Nurburgring times. Somewhat relevant here.

Yes I drift my 911R around whenever I can. Same with 2017 Raptor. Same with 964RS. Same with 675LT/ 570/ 650. Same with M5.

Drifting is super fun. The only time drifting ever got me in trouble was in my P1, I tried to drift in and through and out of the little chicane at Thermal. Ended up in the wood chips after miscalculating the track out distance of 2nd gear drift. No harm done just dusty.

GT R is (maybe) better with the stats and lap times.
... Chris says it all.

i would like to have a GT R.
but the feel like going hard with the RS is on another level of joy.

yes. all the time. each time i go for a drive. this is why my living room has a hand full of damaged rear rims on the wall. and why i pay around 5 tickets a year. 20-50€ each time. depends how crazy the driving and how (positive) crazy the cop who writes the ticket was
roundabouts, crossings,... in an area of 10miles are anytime tagged/labled with black lines.

on public roads not clever. on the track its often showboating.

...

but it is damn fun!!

frustrating is the drifting in the RS's. when driving/drifting before the Caterham or E46M3.
it is too damn hard. and i have to small *****.
