I don’t see it that way exactly.... Here is why: He is a customer too with much more skin in the game and more at stake. This guy is a Porsche nut like all of us. The dealership isn’t just a business to them - what I know of this owner is that he has a love affair with Porsche cars too. This fact permeates throughout the organization and it greatly benefits their customers and Porsche for that matter (and remember GT cars are just a tiny fraction of their sales). It’s in Porsche’s best interest for their dealers to also be personally interested and vested in the brand and they should desire and get special cars from time to time as a perk for all of the other challenges that go along with the business- by the way the he will sell the car at some point.

that car is also super smart for marketing. What a draw to their showroom which will lead to selling more Porsche’s! LOL!!

I’m honest enough to say that if I was a dealer I would do this some of the time, but not all of the time. Sometimes you have to reward yourself for the work you put in.

Got an update on my car. GM of the dealership called the factory. They are waiting on some PTS parts. The car is mostly built and awaiting whatever parts they need. They updated the complete date to 3/23.

Last PTS car for me. It will have been in production for almost 2 months when it completes. Not worth the brain damage.

The big question... will it be here for Smokies? There is a boat that leaves Emden 4/4 arrives Jax 4/19. Then a week from Jax to my dealer and we are in business!
