Definitely one of the funniest cars around. And it’s such an exclusive car. Love it!

Settling on a DD was surprisingly difficult...more so than finding the “right” GT3. SQ5 / S5 sportback / S7 all beautifully designed but not very sporting. F-pace SVR is the SUV equivalent of Thors Hammer but lacking grace and has a flinty ride on the OEM 22’s. Cayenne Turbo is also brutally fast but cannot mask its size and heft. So...and then there were 2. My heart pined for the Alfa Stelvio Quadrafoglio while the head countered with the “new” Macan GTS. German all-around competence for the win (barely)!

Thanks! Took that shot at my in-laws property in Nacogdoches. Nice to get out away from it all once in awhile!

I agree the initial buy-in is still ridiculous right now, but $5-$10K a year in maintenance hasn't been my experience. My wife has been driving G Wagons for 15 years (G55, G63, and now G65), and they've actually been some of the least expensive vehicles to maintain. Not to mention if you buy them right they can hold their value amazingly well.

Probably the best bang for the buck option out there in it's class.

I co-daily drove CLK Black Series with 987 Spyder since January (pics from this years Rolex 24) then have been daily driving Black Series last few months since selling the Spyder. Now will co-daily Black series with R8 until 718 Spyder arrives January. I anticipate the Spyder getting majority of the miles when it arrives at least for first 6 months.

The roads here are great so stiff suspensions are not usually an issue but overall the Black Series has been really comfortable and allot of fun.
Initial impression of 2010 Audi R8 V10 is very positive.

Wow, both epic cars. It would make for a hard choice of what to drive between the 2. Love the gated manual. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you so much. I'm starting to gravitate to some of the older/unique stuff even for daily driving. More maintenance cost and not as fast perhaps but allot of fun.
I'm sure would be different if I had a very long commute or constant traffic or weather not conducive to these models although the BS and the R8 are indeed comfortable.

You're going to love the R8 ... begrudgingly sold mine yesterday. https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1211398

It's a fantastic daily driver as is, and with an exhaust upgrade it becomes a wonderful supercar ... the only reason I sold mine is because I struggled with fitting comfortably in it, it's just not a car made for tall folks, but if it wasn't for that I'd probably have kept it forever.

Wow what a nice example and that sure went fast.

Yeah the one I purchased does have an aftermarket exhaust. Ive driven only a total of 30miles thus far (need to get it registered) but I can immediately tell it's special.

^Gated V10 manual and one of the finest Specs to come out of Benz. Great pair to daily. The 718 spyder will be icing on the cake!
