Default Help Sourcing a 991.2 GT3

Hello all,
I've been lurking this forum for quite a while now and am asking for a bit of help. I'm looking to put my name down for a 2019 991.2 GT3 but am having trouble finding a dealer that will A) have an allocation and B) won't charge over sticker. I'm coming for a 2016 Shelby GT350 so I know the market adjustment game all too well. I talked to the dealer we bought our 2017 Panamera from but their allocations are almost all taken up. So, if it's not too much trouble, I'd appreciate it if some members could steer me in the direction of a few dealerships that may have what I'm looking for. I will lay out some guidelines below.

2019 GT3
Manual
Stickered at: $165,890
Atlanta Experience Center Delivery

I'd be happy to add any and all information if required. Thank you all for looking this over and I look forward to discussions on this forum. Thanks all!

If you are now looking for a .2GT3 you will most likely have to pay a premium

I figured. The dealer I bought from doesn't charge over sticker but their allocations have already been filled so I'm up a creek.

MY advice is buy a used one once they hit US soil. You'll probably pay over sticker but at least you're getting what you want. OR go back to your Porsche dealer put your name on the list and wait. OR call every dealer in the US and see what you come up with.

I did put my name on the list but it's about 15 deep so I'm hoping a few drop out. I'd like to buy new as used prices may be the same or more after the cars are released. I've thought about calling every dealer state by state but made this post to maybe get an idea of a select dealers that don't want to screw me on price.

Either they are or aren't. Your statements are in conflict.

If you've been lurking that implies you've been reading. Therefore you must've come across the posts from other noobs asking the same question and the answers they received. Why do you expect a different answer?

BTW, you came to a predominantly Porsche forum but choose enzo as part of your name. Why?

If you are serious about your question, then you are very naive about acquiring a GT car. If it were only as simple as going into a dealership and buying a GT3 at MSRP. You are going to pay an ADM or have a great relationship with your dealer to acquire at MSRP. You are not only late to the game, but you are asking a bunch of STRANGERS for hep obtaining a GT3, while lots on this forum want what you want. Good luck in your search.

I apologize for the confliction. They get about 3-5 GT3s a year, from what the salesman has said. He did say that a few were set in stone with deposits put in place. I did put my name down on the list but he said I most likely would have to wait until the next generation comes out which I thought was a bit strange. I am unsure if I will get one through my dealer which is why I went to the forums. I did read a couple but decided to at least try and see if someone may have some advise. The name is an old nickname from years ago so I just use it on the forums I'm on. Hope this helps.

I know it's a long shot and the reason I came to the forums is due to previous experiences with forums. I've had great experiences with the few forums I'm on and thought I could get some good information with this one in my search. Thanks!

MSRP will be very hard for a while, especially at this stage. But as time goes by, getting one will be easier. Maybe buy something else to hold you over. Lots of 991.1 GT3's available.

I drove a 14 GT3 and that's what made me serious about a 991.2. I really don't mind waiting until the 19 MY comes out. I will say the 991 GT3 is addictive. It's all that's been on my mind since last Tuesday.

I have had mine for 1.5 years, and have 18k miles on it. When i woke up this morning driving it was all that was on my mind. Not many cars are like that! This car is special. The .2 will be as well.

Wait for what you really want. Patience will be rewarded. Good luck!

OP is kidding right? I purchased two 911's from the same dealership, one in '14 and one in '15. When I asked for a .2 allocation, they did me a favor with 40k over MSRP. Needless to say, I will never buy another car from them in the future.

So, I gave up and am glad I did. I found one the few 2016's available and never looked back. That was a month ago. BTW, I paid 8k over original MSRP for it.
