I have not tried the 918 seats but i was always told the folding buckets are more comfortable than the 918 seats. Someone though, who has tried both can confirm.

I have the full buckets and roll cage together. I love them but i am not a regular track junkie so if i plan to track 1-5 times a year i think going with the regular seats will be fine for me especially since some said they used it on track a couple of time a year and are fine with them (yes i lose the stripe that can't be seen when sitting on the sear, so big whoptie doo).

Still considering but regular seats in my country saves $4,500 from the 918 so it may be worth it if i want to lower the $$$ expenditure.

I do. To be fair, I had no idea you couldn't get the ventilation in the GT3. I mean... the seats are the same, aren't they? If you're gonna go with the comfy seats... even in a GT3... why not take full advantage?

I know my instructors have appreciated the option on hot DE days.

okay the lights

once and for all:

there are 3 ! different NON LED Lights

1. all silver with a grey ring
2. mostly black with some silver inside and a grey ring
3. ALL black inside with a black ring

1. is standard on the GT3, 2. is the 700$ option, 3. is NOT offered currently

3. was standard on the GTS

here some photos

the configurator is correct, you guys just get confused by the blackening out of the 2. which LOOKS like the 3. but itsnt
if you look closely or have a camera fly by you will see its not the completely black one

first photo: agate grey GT3 with STANDARD lights, no black and grey ring (1.)
second photo: most left = 700$ option (2.), middle = BLACK (3.) not offered and on the right to compare the black LED which are an option on the GT3 as well

See on Rennteam:

"Latest rumor: 991.2 GT3 production(!) will end with factory summer vacation in 2018.

Reason: Probably the lack of EURO 6c certification, which probably requires a particle(soot) filter even for gasoline engines (soot particle output reduced by 10x over EURO6).

Also the reason the new 991 GT2 RS will come this year and may only be produced until summer 2018 as well.

Rumors...always take them with a grain of salt but this one is pretty solid."

very interesting
they still produce probably around 4.000 in a year until next summer

i guess it makes sense as the RS has to be produced from next summer onwards as well

Seranad: Wow never knew option 3 existed (the middle headlight in your picture, black non-LED, with black outer rim). And you're 100% right, these were on 991.1 GTS.

This is where the vast confusion stems from. Here is a pic of the new GTS and GT3 both with PDLS option on the non-LEDs. No black outer ring. In fact, there is no black outer ring on any headlight currently offered by Porsche.

I think most people believe that the base non-LED with PDLS option also gives you black. And it does really, just no black outer ring.

I bet Porsche redesigned non-LED PLDS option... and it's no longer made with black outer ring!

even on the new GTS its no black outer ring?
hmm, i checked the german configurator and you are right, they seem to have abandoned that design probably to push people to spend the LED extra if you want complete black. nasty!

i have the 991.1 GTS currently and its definately with a black ring :-) and completely black
so i guess i can stop hoping it will come back for the GT3
