Prototype car with prototype seats. You can tell by the finish, which is not the same as production. And, per his commentary, sounded like they were changing out the padding from standard to touring (or perhaps something other than those two production options). So, perfectly understandable. But hey, people with an angle going to keep pushing that angle!

Seems like his takeaway is it's a fantastically fun car that he would rather have than a Senna...and finally a journo who doesn't "need" the Senna seats lol. Still my favorite of the supercars I've driven, and I just drove a stock and 760 RWHP 2019 gt2rs...wouldn't for a second trade straight up into either, complete snooze fest compared to the LT.

I have not done an exhaustive examination, but Chris Harris' review marks the *third* in which the reviewer says they'd take the 600LT over the Senna. I honestly don't know what to make of it - is there something wrong with the Senna or is the 600LT that good?
Here are time-stamped links to the other two:

???
@CAlexio I think this review was filmed a long time ago. No idea why it was held back - maybe Top Gear's decision? - but he was clearly driving a pre-production car. Just pointing out the flopping headrest on a pre-production car isn't what we should be taking away from and posting about w.r.t. the video. It's a lazy take. That's all.
The weather sucked for his review which I think took away from the viewers experience. But he does make a couple real criticisms:
- turbo lag (seems legit and I agree w/ his question about the decision to have it)
- open diff in wet conditions with tight turns
I think he really liked the car? But I think there is a way to watch that review and feel underwhelmed.
But let's be honest, what we really want is Chris to put a 600LT and 3RS on a track at the same time for a proper comparison.

Had a chance to drive a 2019 570S yesterday. Very nice car. Completely different than the GT3... Thank you CJ for a nice experience at your Scottsdale AZ store. You and your staff were pro's, informative, friendly and ready to do business. Lots to consider....

The 600LT is an awesome car- and a Senna is both awesome and incredibly weird but incredibly expensive. I think a lot of reviewers are simply blown away with the feel and dynamics of McLaren's latest track rat. Some people like the Gt3RS over the GT2RS for the same reason:
Once you get above a certain HP level or dynamic ability of the car...some of the fun dissolves and the stress and pressure of a hypercar like a 918/P1/LaF/Senna/ etc eats into the fun/playful element of driving.
Cars like that are so capable and so fast that you have to take a serious approach to it or risk totalling the car.
The viper/performante/Gt3/3RS/ 675/ pista/ 600LT/720/Gt2RS are the equivalent fastest 'fun' cars you can drive and get familiar with limits...anything above that level requires such insane commitment to corner entry speed, yaw, deep braking etc that it's mentally taxing. And after driving the Gt2RS (on track)I feel like it's not as fun as it is ludicrous. It's borderline unfun due to terminal velocity and grip. I can hop straight into a 600LT or 3RS and get to my 10/10ths limit for the day within a few minutes. 720/GT2 require WAY more throttle discipline.
Even guys like chris harris do not want to bin / bend/ twerk a hypercar. They don't feel so bad about roasting brakes and tires on a GT3, and performance is much more accessible.

A lot of people think Harris has "sold out" or something, but that video is about as useful a review as one could find.
CJ's comments also great: Some fun and playfulness "dissolves". Spot on.
Let's face it, not many $1M+ cars gonna get 10/10ths on track. And that's probably a good thing.

Thank you- glad the test drive was good. We did have one guy recently who buzzed a group of cyclists down the street and got in trouble!

This is why I'm happy with my GT3. (also that it looks less extreme/crazy than an RS), or a lambo, mac, ferrari, etc.
Still a very special car, accessible track fun per your description above, and you also don't cause street accidents from passing motorists gawking at your car.

Yikes! Driving either of those cars at 10/10ths without a full cage, harnesses and HANS is crazy IMHO. I have 20+ years experience on track and I would never do that.
