You'd be lucky to get one at $200K over MSRP. I heard out in the east coast flippers are asking $300K for a "real" PTS.

Sometimes I wonder if the car industry have been infiltrated by scammers too.

I have a PTS coming and have been offered 300k over. Mine is not available though. But i would say 200 for standard, 300 for PTS if its real. Only 14 people got PTS, so there isn't many.

I thought the 911R is a "Name Your Price" game?

AC is absolutely correct. That is why they have the game show still going strong, "The Price is Right"!

I'm not a fan of the flippers inflating prices, but I would hardly call those who participate in the free market system "scammers". Porsche is the one causing this, so if you want to hate, hate them for setting the rules so keep special cars out of our hands.

Hate is a powerful word. I don't hate. Maybe I get mad at times but don't hate. It is a "Free Market" after all.

Nothing personal, but if you have one of these hard to get cars, you will be approached by "Secondary Market" agents. Others call it "Flippers." I am just amazed "Brokers" "Flippers" however else they are called, and they will ask or offer an exorbitant amount of money, and you barely know them. That is why I referenced or used the word "Scammers" just to make aware that there is the potential of scam. I am not saying they are, just the "potential", as many a times, our emotions over run our way of reasoning. That's all. I bid you peace.

The figures I have heard is that 50 is the number of
'true'* PTS 911R's world-wide out of the 991 units to
be built in total. The 14 quoted by Graham might
refer to the 'true' PTS 911Rs allocated to US customers.
But hopefully he will explain how he got those numbers
on his post.

I would be interested in knowing if those low numbers
for the US market are correct...or just speculation.

*'True' PTS as define when customer is able to choose
any of the colors already approved by PAG & included
in their 'list'.
