Default GT3 RS wheel in my GT3. Win.

I've wanted to do this since I saw the Evo review on the RS and they focused on the wheel. I absolutely love it. I really like the diameter, the yellow stripe actually looks really cool through the windshield with the blue, and it really updates the look of the interior. It's pretty much a 918 now . Lol.

I'll be getting a shoot of the car done soon, here is how it sits right now:

Also, that means I have an alcantara/platinum stitching wheel and black leather airbag for sale HERE, lol.

^^^Love the look. The one change I really want to make to mine. Where did you get the RS wheel?

I have yellow seatbelt, this would fit mine. Do you mind listing what material you bought besides the steeringwheel.

Thanks guys. The stock wheel is great, just reminds of my .2 turbo, so it was a nice change.

I got the wheel and airbag from Suncoast Parts.

No sweat, although there isn't much to it. I bought the steering wheel and airbag (they have both a leather, and a leatherette, I bought the former), then the rest of what you need are just tools; small phillips screw driver to hit the ejection spring from the bottom of the stock steering wheel, T55 torx bit to get the center nut out, a small flat head to lift the locking tabs on the connectors, and that's it. The spline on the steering shaft has a top marking as does the steering wheel, so lining it up is extremely simple. The whole thing took maybe 15 minutes.

Ha, I hear that. Fortunately I've been through a long list of cars, now my interest typically just goes to exhaust, lower, wheels, tint, and anything else OEM+ type without going crazy. Unless it's got a specific purpose, like my FGT or TTG, I'm good at keeping it minimal. I want carbon buckets for this car then I can't think of anything else I'd want to do... maybe clear tails. Yep, I'm screwed. Lol.

Does the stitching color differ from what is already in the car? Can't really tell from the picture. I know the RS was silver, and the 3's is Platinum Grey.

Correct. It's almost impossible to tell, I'll get a side by side picture of the wheels tonight.

I was wondering the same. I also would appreciate a side by side pic.

The wheel looks similar to the one in the GT4. Is the RS wheel smaller than the GT3 or is it the same diameter?

Someone brought this question up a while ago and I believe, if I remember correctly the RS wheel is a bit smaller in diameter. How much, that I can't remember.

I love the smaller steering wheel on the GT4 compared to the GT3.

I believe they are both actually 360mm. GT4 wheel missing the paddles obviously. The regular GT3 wheel is 370mm IIRC.

Really want to do this with my car, one question I can get the steering wheel from a gt4 (basically the same) one issue as they don't have the paddles as they are manual, can they be swopped over?

Seems all the rs steering wheels are with you guys, cost, postage and import charges make it expensive.

Many thanks, Carl
