Ask please, if you can. It would be really great to know.

I have to decide if I'll keep mine or sell it.

Thanks!

Laugh all you want, but it just doubles as part of their earthquake preparedness kit.

Only in CA. I guess it could work for hurricane preparation in FL and the East Coast. Still need to keep it full before it evaporates...

I wonder if the Porsche system will require distilled water like the BMW one.

I can't afford bottled distilled water. I can barely afford tap.

Yeah, gasoline is cheaper by the gallon than most bottled water...

Buy an RO system for a few hundred and hook it straight to your tap.

I have one, better filtering than bottled water! (I have tested PPM in almost all drinking water lol)

My understanding of the Porsche system is that it uses the driver's urine. The advantage being weight. The driver is connected to a special "intake" tube that is custom molded into the seat. The driver needn't intentionally urinate. But rather the system catheterizes him and the urine is fed into the intercoolers automatically. There is a particulate filter that helps with the burning urine smell. During a race, the Porsche Intercooler Suction System (****) reduces the weight of driver and vehicle by a full 5-7 lbs!!

Beyond the weight savings, ancillary benefits are driver comfort and environmental friendliness. Additionally the nitrogen in the urine creates a stronger exothermic reaction vs regular water and so Porsche also claims some performance benefit with cooler intake temperatures.

These are exciting times!
