I have had a CGT since 2009. When the 12C came out I emailed mclaren and asked to be put on the list for the "F1 replacement" should there ever be one. That was in 2011, well before any rumblings were laid out. I was told I was the first person to request being put on the list nationally.

I was offered 918's three times for msrp in configurable spec. The P1 deposit was 120k followed by 240k. After my 360k was out the door that is when I had people asking/ telling me I should do it. I kept my CGT, bought the P1, and bought a few car dealerships instead of buying a LaFerrari and the 918.

I love the 918 WP. Really do. I made a few offers on cars second hand but was never the high bidder.

I'm turning my attention back towards dealers and have 3-5 more in the pipeline.

Thanks C.J. for answering this. I think people who overspend money on cars, watches, etc. should really read this. At lease for me, I don't regret not getting the 918 now

any chance to get PTS for 911R?

I remember just black or white strictly about RS 4.0 at the beginning, after some month PTS was allowed for this car following US client pressure.

Smart moves CJ- make sure your money is making money before you spend it. I see a lot of dealer/owners with high end cars or funding racing programs. When your athletic career is complete, you will be glad you made these decisions.

Now, back on topic- I found the radio completely worthless on my GT3 and loosing it would not be a big deal in my book. I've driven several hours using my Bose noise cancelling ear buds and it was just perfect- I could hear the car (the best part- not the road roar) and could enjoy my music. I know it's illegal in most states but it's very discrete and I don't find it is a hazard.

AC is the tuff one, the cars without it will be very, very rare- hard to sell at first but the most desired years from now. If I lived in the Midwest or East- no way, too uncomfortable. But out west where it's dry, it's just a few really warm days- but the AC works really well in my GT3....

Finally, someone said it. I say either go full halo like Audi or just get rid of the 4 dots.

PDLS and LED swivel. Far as I know LED aren't any brighter than Bi-xenon thanks to DOT regs. PDLS vs LED is down to an aesthetic IMO.
