You, me and a couple more fanatics and were all set.
I bet half the Ring taxi companies and rental companies are just clever write-offs..
We have most of it in place. Well everything except a couple Dutch German plated Company RS-es and a handful of TCN RING RENTAL stickers...

Its fun on these wet roads.
The Dunlops are not too bad.
The suspension is punishing on some of these roads.
im going to get the car but and bolt checked!
Mrs Trakcar is putting up with it all so far but the days are young..
I better not push my luck.
But it’s mostly sheep and agricultural vehicles VS GT3RS.
At least Lizard green is like camo paint around here!

We found an excellent tour guide today on the Isle Of Man with a GT2RS..
We ran a few guides and unguided laps @135Mph+ on the TT Circuit, stopped in the pit lane and took some pics.
Having driven it the Bike lap times are mind bending.
The weather became glorious and the scenery breathtaking.
Finally sacrificed a tear-off because I couldn’t see anything against sundown.
We ran around all over the island till 10PM.
Awesome.

The GT2RS owner was introduced to me via the forums :-)
We met up for a coffee, talked Porsche and went for a ride
Besides excellent tour guide, super nice guy and long time Porsche / track enthusiast.
He suffered a bad crash in is 991GT3RS and has been laid up more or less for the last 12 months and is going to take his GT2RS on track for the first time after the crash in August
I knew of the crash: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...man-crash.html
Since his skull was cracked open, leg messed up, finger almost ripped up and his neck fractured and in the hospital, he couldn’t defend all the “more money then talent” comments; He has been tracking cars for a long time, and won some hillclimbs... Not a newby..
Short version, he was driving along 55-60mph cruising home with windows down, radio on.
He hit a big lump of asphalt, he thought the lip caught under the car and the car started skidding, as soon as he touched the brakes the car launched to the right over a wall and summer saluted nose to rear..
He doesn’t remember the part after hitting first impact but this is the account of the bikers that got him out of the car and called the ambulance.
Basically the lower control arm got ripped off the left front of the car, bikers commented that it looked like the right rear went up and as soon as he touched the brakes the car yanked right.
His left middle finger got almost ripped off by the flappy paddle..
Even though the roll bar cracked his skull, he is sure that it saved him because it landed on the roof.

My first post....
Great to meet you and your lovely wife, I’m happy the sun finally came out yesterday afternoon for you.
I hope you’ve been out enjoying the no speed limit roads of my little island. 😎

Was hoping to find you here Henry, many thanks again from myself and Mrs Trakcar.
You made our day and we got to experience some more typical IOM summer weather.
We will stay in touch.
But first we go over the mountain a few more times before heading to the Ferry

Horrible, glad he has recovered and is back out at it again in the new whip! Hope he enjoys it in good health
EDIT: See Henry has joined RL. Glad you've recovered and have replaced the 3/RS with the 2/RS, nice upgrade
