Porsche 911 GT3 RS Destroyed In Severe Isle Of Man Crash
A Porsche 911 GT3 RS has been wrecked following a serious accident on the Isle of Man.
Details are limited, but we’re told that the driver of the RS inadvertently drove it up a large embankment on the side of a two-lane road. The 911 was carrying enough speed to tumbled hundreds of feet across the paddock of a local farm before coming to a rest on its roof.
All it takes is one quick look at the damage to know that this 911 is a total write-off that will never be driven again.
Parts of the car were scattered across the paddock and the entire flat-six engine and exhaust system have been ripped from the rear. Additionally, much of the front fascia appears to have been torn off and the only exterior parts which seem to have escaped any obvious damage are the doors.
The driver was, reportedly, alone in the car at the time of the crash and escaped without serious injuries. Considering how badly the car was beaten up, he must consider himself extremely lucky to simply have walked away from this one.
Amazingly, the family and friends of the 911 driver helped to clear the paddock from debris so the farm animals wouldn’t get injured.

The Isle of Man has no speed limits. This has gone a bit unnoticed by a lot of people until recently as a result of a bit publicity on this fact by Porsche, etc. I just hope that the wider publicity doesn't attract a bunch of crazy, disrespectful drivers to the place who start having big accidents which result is a speed limit being imposed.
