Yes, I was heading down this exact route of buying multiple ratchet heads until I decided to develop the torque multiplier tool.

It's a lot easier to pack for the track when you only need a relatively small torque multiplier and a conventional 1/2" torque wrench (that in a pinch you can borrow from the guy next to you in the paddock).

Default The cost is not unreasonable when you consider

1) the torque multiplier itself is $1.5K
https://www.flexibleassembly.com/Pro...ut-47-1-180200
2) the R&D that went into this
3) the custom fitted arm and soft wheel pad
4) etc.

Congrats on a great and useful design.

(Now, if we could get a bunch of folks to commit to a group-buy, just maybe the cost could come down !)

This is a great tool. Any opportunity for a group buy to reach your production quota and reduce the price?

Wow....well that didn't take long!!

A group buy is a great idea - let's try it and see how many are interested. I can do the following prices depending on the size of the group:

Group of 3-4 $2,125ea
Group of 5-9 $1,995ea
Group of 10-13 $1,920ea
Group of 14-17 $1,895ea

In consideration for those who are already waiting for the production run, I'll need a commitment date of 6/21/19 for those interested in the group buy pricing. I'll add names of those who have committed to the list.

Shipping will be $20 by ground, and I'll be shipping from the northeast. If you have any questions you can reach me at RENNtorq@gmail.com

I'm subscribed and watching. I just bought a Proto 1-6 multiplier. I'll see if I can sell it. If so I'll put my name om the list.

Post #1 shows the tool with what looks like black tape on the cylindrical part where the T wrench goes. Is that picture of a prototype or is there a reason for the tape? Thanks,

There is no reason for the tape. I was trying to keep the source of the torque multiplier to myself for a little while but Matrog above was able to figure out the source, and I'm fine with acknowledging it.

Here is what it looks like without the tape:

Nice going - as this first round produces satisfied customers, I imagine when people hear about and see the tool in action, the popularity will grow further
