My PTS Touring entered the factory in 12/18 and is considered a 2019. Assuming all December builds and everything thereafter is a "2019" model, based on the chart, that would be 17+13+7+1= 38 2019 PTS Tourings in North America.

My GT3 was a 12/18 build and it is an '18'.

I think I got one of the last off the line. Is there a way to tell by VIN?

Alan - that is odd. Mine went into production around 12/22 and did not leave the factory until well after the holidays, in mid-January 2019. The placard on the inside of the driver's side door says 12/18, indicating to me that the badge indicates when the car goes into production and not when it exits the factory. Did yours perhaps enter the factory in early December and exit in mid-December? Seems rather arbitrary to me... Mine is definitely a 2019.

Many cars with earlier vins finish production later because they go to quality control or custom tailoring.

My car was at the dealer by Jan 14. Odds are it completed in late December.

Alan - wow, that is a quick turnaround from exiting the factory to delivery! Mine was originally going to be an '18 but at some point, the build allocation became a 2019 and I have confirmed that it is a 2019 with the VIN. Seems pretty arbitrary that yours would be '18 and mine '19 when they were in the factory within days to a week or two of each other. Perhaps only cars that exited the factory in 2019 were 2019s but that is pure conjecture on my part.
