Because it impacts and distorts the market place and their decisions clearly impact car lovers. Most of us on rennlist like to drive cars and that is why we are here. I suspect that most people in the GT3 forum are millionaires or multi-millionaires but not deca-millionaires - although clearly there are many of those folks here as well. Therefore, we have limited funds and access to allocations.
I know of a 918 owner who flipped .1 PTS GT3RSs. He did 4 in a single year and had access of course because of the agreement with PAG w/918 buyers. He didn't even care about the build and doesn't drive them - which is just shocking to me. He has a trusted SA configure the car (as long as it is PTS) and then the buyer sold it back to the dealer after a short period of time with no miles on the car for a $50k profit which they split.
I wouldn't care what other people do with their cars if it didn't impact me but if folks are only interested in making a quick buck, go invest in bitcoin and leave the car lovers alone.
The problem would be alleviated if Porsche built cars to meet demand or raised MSRP.

New updates from Loess and I!
There are now two charts. One is the combined GT3 "Track" and "Touring" production numbers and the other is purely Touring Spec production numbers. As we are starting to see additional Touring cars roll off the production line I thought we can separate them into two. I've not been able to fully get through all of the specific options selected on the Touring cars as of yet but its clear 032 is Touring Package in Chrome Trim and 039 is Touring Package in Black. There's a single typo in the actual production numbers for December as its as of December 17th...not 10th. Still it looks like production will be even less this month...
Enjoy the new stats.

Woo hoo. Great info. Mine rolled out of production on 12/11 according to the dealer thing. 4 days ahead of schedule.
It should be no big deal to add another sheet to the excel which shows the wing totals separate. Let me know if you need any excel help.

Really great info - thanks so much for taking the time to do this, much appreciated. A question - the folding buckets are not listed as separate items. Are #folding buckets = #LWBS - (minus) #18 ways? There are 4-ways in the equation also, no?

Folding buckets are not an option in North America.

Really great information, I wish we had the same here in Europe...! Based on your data, I think it is possible to estimate the total production number of GT3s worldwide, assuming that approximately 40% of all GT3 are destined for the Northamerican market.
One question, though: In the general GT3 sheet, you set the number of tourings at 10. In the sub-sheet (tourings only), the number is 21. What's the reason for this difference?

Close...it's actually a mistake on my part for not deleting the old information. If you want the actual Touring data look at the Touring spreadsheet image.
I'm planning to clean both up this evening and re-post.
It would be awesome to have European/ROW data but alas we don't.
