Manual or PDK opinion
Using the car I have ordered for both track - once a month - and couple days a week as driver.
Comparing PDK to manual, which I haven't driven...obvious pros and cons and I don't mind the manual in traffic.......
Not that you buy this car for this, but will depreciation over the years be less with manual......or does it depend on future offerings with GT3? Most people I speak to, say in reality after the hype of the new car, the rate will be the same....
Also, will 997 GT3 regular model that has held or appreciates now start to depreciate now that manual is available in 991.2...?

2) pDK will hold value BECAUSE RACECAR
3) ALL 997 gt3's will simultaneously EXPLODE once the manuals start rolling off the assembly line. Didn't you listen to the GT Execs at the last press conference? They wouldn't explain why, they just said "BECAUSE RACECAR" in angry german-talk.

Being kind, and only gently directing you to read the many posts on this subject, I will contribute my opinion.
For sheer performance, I would go PDK.
For thrill and shrills at lower speeds, manual.
Rather than ask an opinion here, Tasman's study into the PDK vs Manual debate is summed up by his conclusive one liner:
"Real men do drive manuals!"
I therefore went with a manual but I balanced out my male chauvinistic bravado with the carmine red color of the car which supports my feminine side!

At the risk of being politically incorrect I wish Porsche would take away everyone's allocation who asks about future value. Buy what you want and drive and enjoy the cars. No one knows what tomorrow holds

Get a manual GT3 and pdk GT4 RS or 991.2 RS. I find pdk's and autos extremely boring on the street. I would only pdk/auto if I was forced to or for a car that will be mainly used at the track.
