Break in tips?
Hi everyone - I've been a Rennlist member for a while, but I just became a Cayman owner tonight - I bought a 2014 Cayman 2.7. I'm really excited about the car and can't wait to really drive it. Do you have any tips for things to watch for/do/not do during the break in period?
And some quick iPhone pictures from the pickup:

It's all in your owner's manual if you elect to follow it. Ignore what your salesperson tells you. You'll also get opposing opinions from Rennlisters.
I will tell you this; do an early oil change. At 1,000 miles. And select a Porsche approved oil other than Mobil 0W40. I'd suggest Mobil 5W50 or Motul 5W40 X-cess.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'll spend some more time with the manual and follow that. The dealer said they did an oil change before I picked up the car because it is a 2014, but I'll plan to do another one at the recommended interval. I'm going to try and keep it under 4200 rpms for the first 1000 miles, but the 2.7 revs so nicely and sounds so good…the temptation to really wind it out is pretty overwhelming...
