What color is this?

What color?
The OP's photo of this Cayman S (looks like a '10, no? - Photo #1)
Is it 'Carmon Red'? (Photo #2) I don't think so.
'Ruby Red'? (Photo #3) No, I doubt this is it!
'Amethyst'? (Photo #4) Perhaps!
PTS Aubergine 1973 911 color? (photo # 5) Doubt they would have spent time & money to get it and not a match!
cds4402, I truly don't know! I'll go with 'Amethyst' as a guess on a car that has been left parked outside a lot & the paint not well maintained. But thank you for the pm alerting me to this thread!

Eduardo

Unless the Carmon Red for a Cayman is different than that for a 911...
See pic of what is advertised as Carmon Red 911 at the link provided.

#1 and #3 are Carmon Red or Carmona Red as they called it in 2007
just the lighting (or the camera) that makes it look different
all of Porsche's metallics change color depending on the ambient lighting
Carmon Red is one of my favorites, looks deep, dark maroon under cloudy or low light conditions
I once had an Ocean Blue Boxster, had just moved to Kansas City. Walked out of the loan closing on our new house to over hear comments about our "purple" Boxster that "obviously belonged to a K-State grad"
I didn't have the heart to tell them my car was blue! and not purple
cheers,
steve
