I bought # 254 at Christmas over the phone from Pfaff Porsche in Toronto.
Not my most practical decision as i live in Singapore most of the time. Car is stored at Autovault in Toronto , trickle charged and driven around their facility once a week.
It's history isn't known ( to me anyway ). This one has a black top, no Boxster S logo on the trunk and only 14,000 KM's. Paid $50K CAD ( less $21K for my 2000 Boxster S.
Much better car. Faster, tighter and very solid. Surprisingly loud too, with or without the exhaust switched on.
Hope to get home once more this year before they get snow.
( My neighbor in Singapore has one. I wish. In Sing an RS60 goes for about $250,000 Sing dollars. Yup, about $200,000 USD. Unbelievable )

Congratulations on a fine car indeed.

I'd presume importing to Singapore is not a realistic option?

Sadly, no. Singapore is very strict about cars. They apply several levels of taxes and registration fees to keep prices incredibly high; especially on anything more than 1.6 litres displacement. And, they won't allow imports of used cars; especially one with left hand drive.
A new 911 would be $500,000. A new 458 well over a million. But, the streets are full of them: and Lambos, and Pagondas. 17 % of the population are millionaires and, like all nouveau riche Asians they love to show what the money can buy them.
I take public transport in Singapore. Even a petrolhead like me can't justify paying $140,000 for a GTI, on an island with one major highway and speed cameras every mile.
But, late in the evening I can hear GTR's, Maserati's, Ferrari's, Porches's, etc. running up to redline on the entrance ramp and that is about a mile away. Music.

Wow, completely different atmosphere..

Agree about music. Though I'd probably awake you from sleep with my Fabspeed race exhaust if I ran it to redline a mile away..

BTW, how the heck is 17% of population millionaires? Do they breed them over there or what? Had a friend in equity research who got transferred to Singapore for a couple of years. Maybe I'm just in the wrong profession!

Smile RS-60 Spyder

#1783 was delivered to my home in Slidell, Louisiana last nite around 9:30pm. Purchased from Momentum Porsche in Houston, Tx. Has 25,500 miles and I am the 3rd owner. It is a CPO car. Red top and interior with black floor and lower door panels. Tiptronic S, Bi-X Headlamp Pkg., Heated Seats, AutoAC, Bose HighEndSys, SportChronoPkg, PASM, Heated Seats. I'm lovin it..

Never had a softtop before, would appreciate suggestions on how to take care of the fabric.

Congrats on your car. I took delivery of my RS 60 just last month.

Coincidentally, I just treated my convertible top last night based on recommendations on this site and others. The product to use is RaggTopp. It's super simple. I bought my cleaner/treatment kit on Amazon. Here's a link to their site: http://www.wolfsteins.com/index2.php

+1 to RaggTop. I went crazy and used almost an entire bottle of the sealant!

Hard to explain Singapore. It punches far beyond it's weight for a little island of 5 million people. Largest container port in the world, one of the world' largest producers of chips and semiconductors, lot's of oil refining for the region, etc. Crazy real estate and lot's of offshore and onshore banking. Population boom is now mainly VERY rich mainland Chinese looking to park their money in real estate, cars, just about anything. We have a new Maclaren dealership now, and , a Pagonda dealership. there are no $ limits here. They built two casinos, just two. In two years they generate more revenue than all of Las Vegas. All Chinese and Malaysians as Singaporeans have to pay $100 each time they go in. They don't want the locals to gamble but they gladly take anybody else's money.

I've recently purchased #99/1960 with 3,470 miles
Full Red Interior, Black Top, plus GT Silver Metalic hardtop.
All other options except Nav and Bose.
Traded in my '00 Boxster S with 174,000 miles that I had factory ordered in 1999.
The RS60 is definately quicker!

Congratulations. I though the RS60 I bought last month with less than 8K miles was special - yours at less than 4K is incredible!

Can you post picture of the Hardtop. Was not aware of that option on Boxsters.
