Just an oblique attempt at humor referencing to the unfortunate trend of blacking out everything on a car that isn't painted, much in the style of law enforcement, hip-hop artists and (Now) soccer moms. No malintent here...

This is Bikernieki racetrack located ir Riga, Latvia. This racetrack was build in 1960s and is located in the city, which you do not see often nowadays. It is quite technical, but also fast - the average speed on my best lap with base Cayman and street tires was 85+ mph. Due to the fact that it was designed almost 60 years ago, the concrete walls are quite close to the track in some corners despite some safety improvements made in last ten years. So it does not forgive big mistakes. As I know this racetrack very well, in the second half of the event I did drive with PSM switched off as this was my first track day with this car and I did want to understand how it handles at the limit and I was really positively surprised.

You many carwash snobs will be proud of me--had my 2010 S model handwashed at my house yesterday morn.; the fellow did a FINE job for $100, and I didn't have to do more than walk out and 'supervise' occasionally...and hand him a $100 bill.. Then, over several periods of maybe 20 minutes each*, I got another 'coat' of Torque Detail Turbo Waterless Ceramic Detailer on it.. This is a VERY-easy-on-and-off ceramic-protectant product.. https://www.torquedetail.com/
The wheels look their best since I removed, scrubbed, and polished them.. The pads that came with this aftermarket Brembo kit (from Tirerack) get the wheels quite dirty.
If I had not already ordered its replacement, a '23 Cayman GTS 4L...
...I'd be ordering Porterfield R4-S pads for the fronts.. I'm also strongly considering keeping the 2010's 19" wheels--which I LOVE the looks of--and tires for the GTS.. The teeny, weeny brakes P puts on these also will look a little less tiny under 19s.
* It's hotter than the proverbial hubs of hell in Phoenix, with its SIX months of summer, so I do this and other outside work in short bursts.

I posted this in my thread but apparently I never posted it here. My daughter asked if she could use my good camera to take pictures at my first track day with the Cayman. IMHO she nailed this shot.

Hi, the 987.2 tires will be too small for 718. Instead of 235/35R19 and 265/35R19, you will need 235/40R19 and 265/40R19 for the 718, to retain the OE outer diameter of the wheels.

Maybe it's the memories attached, but I think the first is my favorite. The first two were both taken during a road trip to the Deal's Gap area. (And yes, I built a hitch and trailered one of my bikes down behind the 987.2 CS.)
