Default PSM failure light

Had to move the Boxster to access the attic to put Christmas decorations away. PSM failure indicator popped on. Last week, I attached some permanent leads for my battery maintainer and had the battery disconnected momentarily. I also inflated the tires to max pressure since the car will be parked until late March for the winter. Any thoughts on whether either of those things could have caused the light to go on?

When you disconnect the battery anything can happen. I have unhooked mine several times and I get that message. I take it for a spin and it resets itself. Maybe just letting it idle will work.

Thanks! I vaguely remember getting an error code when I replaced my battery. I did the same thing and it reset itself. Hoping that is all it is. Just going to leave it alone until I take it out of hibernation. Way too much salt on the roads to take it out now.

PSM failure light almost always comes on when disconnecting the battery, and then goes off in less than a mile of driving.

PUNKT2 has it correct, it is normal after a battery disconnect and will go away very shortly after driving.

Thanks! It was definitely one of the things that sold me on this car - even the louver's in the air vents are wrapped in leather and stiched.
