1) you might check out the PCA Mart and search for boxsters - theres a mid-mileage 2007 for $17k, I think. FWIW, 2007 is generally better because (1) slightly more power, (2) TPMS, (3) passenger airbag weight sensor (very helpful if children riding along), (4) confirmation that you get the larger IMS bearing.

2) If you want a 2005, Littleton Ford (Colorado) has a Boxster S with 64k miles listed for $19.6k.
Does 2006 get the larger bearing also? There is a 2006 S for sale with only 20k miles. From other threads tho there is a worse reputation for S engines with bore scoring.

I was probably going to put in an offer tomorrow. Unreal how hot this market is. When you see the car you want, I guess you shouldn't dither. Sad!

It's pretty amazing how well low production protects value. It's not the spec I wanted and I wouldn't have been crazy about PCCBs and I'd happily settle for heated sofas but I've been looking for almost six months and this is the first red one I've seen. You can justify the premium in light of the miles. These cars don't depreciate with time.

Anyway I hope the next guy drives the thing.
