want to run sat radio in my 05 boxster, with the antenna going in the area of the cabin pollen filter, whars the best route for the antenna cable?
There are two rubber grommets - about 1.5: in diameter in the firewall near each end of the battery. Either of these should work. I found the one on the port side (drivers in the US) easier to use for my GPS antenna simply because it was easy to locate it in the inside of the car. It was up a bit above the pedals. Running the wire from there to the headunit was trivial, Just be sure the wiring doesn't get tangled in the wiper mechanism.

Are you thinking of locating the SAT antenna in the front trunk area ? I don't thing you will get very good reception if the antenna is not exposed and open to a clear view of the sky.
I believe if you read the posting - he's considering putting his SAT antenna under the plastic cowl that covers the windshield wipe mechanism, right at the base of the windshield, in the area over the cabin-filter. That area should work fine - it just has thin plastic between it and the sky and satellite signals can pass through the plastic (the GPS antenna is normally mounted there by Porsche.)
