Seats are done. I had them done by Val's Upholstery in SF, mike is the owner, he does the rolls Royce Royce dealer warranty work so I trusted him... And to me, these look fantastic.
A few points
-the fabric is thin, it's not as stiff as stock.. It has a little bit of "float" to it which we solved by adding a little tiny bit of extra padding to the seat cushion.
-i'm not 100% confident on the lifetime durability of this material as it is very thin, and slightly stretchy, I realize everybody is purchasing from the same guy Gary in England, but look around at different sources just in case.
-overall I think it looks fantastic, it's very easy to unVelcro these covers and reattach the standard alcantara covers, and for very small price I have what I think are completely unique and gorgeous seats.
This is one modification which I would recommend.
Ps: One slightly unrelated point, my driver side seat bolster was starting to get a little bit dark, despite my best Muhammad Ali impressions when I get into the seats… Floating like a butterfly. Mike took a little bit of leather cleaner and it came right off, he said that if I do this on a regular basis and don't let the seats stay dirty for long, that the seats will stay looking newfor a long time.

My $2.93 12 o'clock marker mod. It's a 7mm x 5" strip of 3m 1080 series car vinyl in matte red.
Bought a 3" x 5" sample piece on amazon and cut 7mm strip w razor blade. There is a light adhesive backing so completely removeable.
Comes in every color in the rainbow. Here's the amazon link for matte red.

I can't take credit for the idea, just my "installation". I found it somewhere on rennlist but honestly can't find the original post. There is a post on '12 o'clock markers' but it uses fabric gaffers tape which looks better on Alcantara than on leather imo.
Excuse the poorly lit pics. Looks pretty convincing though... huh?

I spent some time looking for the Porsche side stripes for the Spyder but with two colors, like on the 911R. In my case I wanted a black stripe with red Porsche lettering.. Outside of the crazy pricing, no one would make them in two colors for me. I ended up connecting with a Saeed in Dubai, who gladly took on the 2-color project, and even gave me doubles (full set in black and full set in red)... The price: $95.
I told him to create a new product on eBay with these specs and I would gladly promote his work out of gratitude for how much he worked hard for the business. Here it is if anyone is interested. You can't beat the price either.

I also like very much the idea of different coloured 0ORSCHE side decals, more importantly the idea of grey and grey stripes and text, I like that. Perhaps both would float on my rhodium car.
