Did a 200 mile ride with my dad yesterday all around the mntns.. The top end on this car is so strangled, there is very little there. I think that the intake plenum and throttle body are a must-do... The engine can't breath at high revs like it was designed to do.. Carrera S engine does not exhibit this, it keeps climbing until 7k.

Critical mod IMO.

I agree - the power curve near redline is a higher priority - though probably more so on the track than on the street since redline in 2nd gear is risky to achieve on the street.

i pre wired the front, but I haven't even gotten the camera yet. I could use the other input to watch something on the screen from an outside source, I thinks that's kind of cool.
My order closed before I had a chance to add the back up camera, in this car with the humps aka stream liners makes the rear cam a must.

Did a full XPEL on mine as well - front, hood, rockers, rear fenders. Very glad I did it for peace of mind. Plus, the XPEL Ultimate is virtually undetectable. Also, ordered the XPEL Sealant and Cleaner. But for weekly or so maintenance I asked the XPEL techs at the factory about using something like Invisible Glass or even Windex on the film to keep it clean. Answer - DON'T DO IT. They researched one the detailers I regularly use - Zymol Detailer - and said that it contained no chemicals that could harm the film in any way, so that's what I'm using. It's a wonderful detailer for paint as well. It's the blue bottle and runs around $10. Good deal.

High altitude breathing problems lol
Surprised to hear this as most report the strength of the engine above 5k up to redline
Interesting your experience is opposite
Enjoy reading your mods work

Neither. But I feel I covered the most vulnerable sections of the car.

Today I proved the GT4 rear brake ducts can be made to fit the Spyder. The Spyder LCA is thicker than the GT4 LCA so tie wraps were required.
The ducts without fittings are 981 575 531 80 and 981 575 532 80. The holders 981 575 631 80 & 981 575 632 80 and the screws 999 073 516 01 ( Qty 4 ) are not needed on the Spyder.

Seats are done. I had them done by Val's Upholstery in SF, mike is the owner, he does the rolls Royce Royce dealer warranty work so I trusted him... And to me, these look fantastic.

A few points

-the fabric is thin, it's not as stiff as stock.. It has a little bit of "float" to it which we solved by adding a little tiny bit of extra padding to the seat cushion.
-i'm not 100% confident on the lifetime durability of this material as it is very thin, and slightly stretchy, I realize everybody is purchasing from the same guy Gary in England, but look around at different sources just in case.

-overall I think it looks fantastic, it's very easy to unVelcro these covers and reattach the standard alcantara covers, and for very small price I have what I think are completely unique and gorgeous seats.

This is one modification which I would recommend.

Ps: One slightly unrelated point, my driver side seat bolster was starting to get a little bit dark, despite my best Muhammad Ali impressions when I get into the seats… Floating like a butterfly. Mike took a little bit of leather cleaner and it came right off, he said that if I do this on a regular basis and don't let the seats stay dirty for long, that the seats will stay looking newfor a long time.

I ordered coco mats today from coco.com. I think these floor mats in black with red dots are of high quality and classic in and of themselves and will make a nice addition to my Spyder and its Classic interior. Now, I have to wait 2 - 3 weeks as they are custom made when ordered!
