981 Spyder Order Tracker Thread...
#1021
Hey s2k, the stitching color on the shift boot and steering wheel is standard black, but keep in mind I didn't order deviated stitching with the leather interior option. I have seen deviated stitching pics in those locations, but don't know if it was included with the deviated stitching package or an "extra" cost addition to it.
Certain paint colors look good with the center console surround trim, but I didn't want blue there. Didn't want to overdo it because I did spec the red seat belts. Since I've had Alcantara before (and don't care for it on surfaces that hand oils touch), I just went with the black leather to match the seat bolsters, dash, steering wheel, shifter and boot. Easier to clean and looks good longer imo.
A few other observations: the car is fairly loud and snorty! I went with the Bose option and standard CDR, and in an open air car, it sounds very good imo. People are saying the car sounds and looks mean! That's been the consensus from friends familiar with my old Spyder. Lighter steering effort as others have said as well. Standard seats have plenty of support, and I do not miss my old gt2 sport buckets. The old buckets were very comfortable, just don't need them if not going to track the car. Interior lighting pkg should be standard with a black interior. I put the top down today, and it is so simple that I cannot believe ppl complain about it. Just $0.02.

I had a different experience with them... didn't last more than a season of 12 track weekends. Most people won't notice but when a dot appear on them they are toasted. Had to switch for steel. Add that they DON'T brake on street when cold and I don't see any benefit to that option other than matching the yellow calipers with your colors, which is a silly reason to buy them IMHO.

What is V215?
Didn't see that on the cheat sheet for all the V codes and what they mean that has been floating around.

Looks like they finally updated the configurator. They removed the "memory" indication from 18 way adaptive seats
"Front seats covered in smooth-finish leather with backrest shells finished in Silver Grey. Memory Package and electric steering column adjustment not available."

Wow... Month early??? That is awesome. Curious if you have Sofas or LWB... if the prior, that is why. You moved ahead of the line due to the LWB shortage. Hopefully you specced LWB, because that gives me hope Porsche is ahead of schedule and mine will be similar??? I can dream. This wait is killing me... 142 days for me.
