Amazing...at some point one person looked at another and said (probably) "yeah, yellow seat belts will look awesome". Except for the obvious, pretty cool.

I bought PDK to accommodate the wife. But I think having a MT would be a lot of fun.

Yeah the seat belts I think I'd have to see in person to decide, but overall it's a sick car

I'm starting to think that the Riviera and Mexico colors are always getting over played these days. Don't get me wrong, I am very partial as Mexico is by far my favorite Porsche color. They use to be very rare and something the true purists only valued but now they are everywhere it seems! That's what, 3-4 981's so far in that color?

Yes, 3-4 that we're aware of. Maybe Eduardo knows some numbers about how many have been sprayed that way (not just 981's).

We are waiting for JSF101 to get the Texas dealer send a photo of the 'Mexico Blue' 981 Boxster that apparently already arrived. Steve is working on that! What have we seen to date re:981? Graham's 'Riviera Blue', this one at Hoffman and the 'Mexico Blue' in Texas - all Boxsters. Any others? And at least 3 or 4 991's in those two colors, delivered so far in the US. The last two being a 'Riviera' in Ohio & a 'Mexico' in Long Island! And at least one Panamera!

Porsche has created this two-tier system of PTS colors. If you want something truly 'unique', you have to supply them a sample and wait for the feasibility studies. That is a risky strategy if you need to have your car by a model year certain! As a result, most PTS customers (and almost 100% of dealer specs) are now taking the easy route and choosing colors that have already been approved by Porsche! It is understandable. But we are not going to get the diversity of colors that we would have expected with a 'free range' PTS program like Porsche's! And it does encourage you to go with a 'winning' popular hue, like 'Riviera' or 'Mexico' if you are inclined to a solid light 'blue'! Maybe 'Voodoo Blue' will pick up in popularity soon!

Saludos,
Eduardo

I didn't see the Mexico Blue 981 when I went by the ATX dealer this weekend, although I did see it last month. Not sure if they sold it.

At Eduardo... any idea how the True Blue on speedsters, Voodoo Blue and Turquoise Blue compare?

I recall seeing a posting on Rennlist which showed Turquoise Blue against True Blue and they appeared to be virtually identical. I get the sense but do not have a side by side comparison that Voodoo Blue is somewhat darker.
