I'm looking at the new 981's and think I prefer the Sport Seats Plus based on them looking like the sports seats I used to have in my 997.1 GT3 but when I asked a local salesman, he thought the online configurator had an error and they aren't available as a 2-way adjustable seat - only in the 18-way which I absolutely don't want.

Does anyone have the 2-way adjustable Sport Seats Plus in a Boxster so that I can confirm they do indeed exist ?

That's really too bad - I sat in the "normal" sports seats and didn't like the lack of bolsters in the base. Darn.

I have them in my 981, so they do exist.

However, option availability might differ from market to market... but they do indeed exist!

I had 2 way sport seats plus on my 981S too ..

essentially, they are the sports seats from the 987

987's standard seats are pretty much the 981's "sports seats".

thanks guys - good point about market availability ... now if they want to substitute the folding bucket seats for me ... so much the better ...

Any dealer can get you what seat you want, they just need to make a few calls. However, during a new body car launch, it might not happen right away. (Kinda like PTS on hold for a few months).

Do any of the older gen (996, 997, 986, 987, etc.) seat rails mount in the 981's ?

Are the airbag connectors, etc. common as well ?
