981's running GT3 exhaust. What tips are you using?
Fellow Rennlist fam,
I am currently running a GT3 RS exhaust on my Cayman and the RS tips aren't cutting the look for me anymore. I've seen a few posts in regards to Sharkwerks 100mm exhaust tip with the GT3 conversion kit but I spoke to a gentlemen from Sharkwerks and he stated that the 100mm tips won't work on a 981 as the tips are "shorter".
To whomever is running a similar kit, other than the stock GT3 / RS tips, what tips are you running?
Thank you in advance.

I am running the GT3 muffler with Dundon valved and catted side pipes on my 2016 BGTS. I've only just got going with this combination and I'm using OEM 991.2 GT3 tips so I'm afraid my post is not really useful for you. That said, would you mind a question? So few people seem to be running this setup it is hard to get a consensus. How have you found the boominess and the drone from the exhaust? It may not be so bad in a Cayman, but in my Boxster it is pretty unbearable between 2k-3k. To make matters worse, my PDK likes to keep the car right in that range when just pottering around. Using manual mode above 3k it is great but below that is going to be too hard to live with for me. I am running Cargraphic race headers with the kit.
Does it get better over time? Any thoughts or advice would be most welcome.

Hi atterbud,
Thanks for taking the time to post.
The drone between 2-3 rpm is insane! I have a 6-speed and that drone is hilariously bad but it's fixed by a 6-4 downshift.
In my opinion, it won't get better overtime. Interestingly, the company I bought my GT3 kit from stated "little to no drone". Guess they lied ,

Can't help on the tips but I did see the GT3 setup in the marketplace and it certainly peaked my interest. I have PSE, but GT3's just sound so amazing, unfortunately i cannot find a sound clip anywhere of a 981S with the GT3 exhaust set up. I found some GT4 clips but none on the 3.4L motors, can someone post a video as i would love to hear it!
Thanks
Thanks

This is the Dundon setup with Sharkwerks 100mm tips.
These are custom titanium tips I had made that are about an inch longer. Not cheap but I like them a lot.

GT3 Exhaust Plug n Play to 981?
Hi RL—
Does GT3 exhaust directly bolt onto 981 or is there is kit to adapt needed? If so, can someone provide manufacturer name and parts required for conversion please?

I believe Dundon, Fabspeed, and TPC racing all have a kit to use a GT3 muffler on a 981. I’ve been looking to buy one but have not been able to find a good exhaust clip on a 981 CS.
