I just sent my title in to my insurance company today for my Ida flooded 981 S. Not a good day. That said, they were more than fair with valuation (got about 50 cents on the dollar for the $20K in mods the car had). Now I start shopping for 981 GT4!
Those Sport Techno wheels in the earlier post are so gorgeous that I pulled them off my Cayman and put the winter wheels (Carreras with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires) on the car before it was towed away. Those Sport Technos will be sweet winter wheels for a new GT4.
Took it for a quick spin to get some heat in it since it has basically been sitting for a month waiting for parts. The last part I'm waiting on is some toe links which should arrive tomorrow. The new wheels got their tires mounted so everything is ready and waiting. I also converted the winter set of wheels that came with the car to a track set, I hope I don't regret that in a month... The "turbo" set with PS4s will be for sale soon...
Installed the radiator and side intake grilles* from the radiator grill store and gave her a bath...
* I thought this was a pretty cool mod when I saw Tommy L's video, but a few weeks ago, I found a dead bird stuffed up against the left front radiator and decided they were a really cool mod...

I have a set of the side intake grills coming this week. I sucked up a chunk of somebody's tire at the track day I did a couple of weeks ago and it was striking the fan for a bit before it got knocked loose. I don't want that to happen a second time, so... The previous owner of the car had already installed the radiator grills, so I'm good there. No birds, but I did find a big dragonfly on it once.
Yep, I’ve had a dead bird in the front center radiator of by GTS. Have grills on all openings now. RGS on the side intakes are terrific! I used Zunsport for fronts and am very happy with them.
Attended Luft Wasser in Brevard, NC yesterday. 150 Porsches parked on the streets. Pretty much every model and vintage represented. Perfect weather and lots of good people there.

Another Mahogany Metallic, nice. Did you do the front end conversion yourself?
thanks

Not sure what you mean by front end conversion. This is a GTS and that is the factory front end. Only thing that has changed on the front end is the installation of the Zunsport grills.

Can't wait to see these. Wheels look sexy as hell.

Put a hundred miles on it driving around Oregon wine country. Should have headed out earlier in the morning, a lot of it was a casual stroll i.e. stuck behind a slow car / truck with horse trailer / etc. I stopped here because I was basically lost - what I thought was a bridge turned out to be a ferry terminal (with no ferry). Used my phone after this point to get me back home.
