Default Wheel spacers

Any issue putting 14mm spacers on all 4 corners of a 996TT with the X73? Standard 18" wheels and tires.

I measured according to Adaptec's instructions and there seems to be good clearance. Just thought I'd ask the brain trust.

Since I lowered it, the wheels just seem a little "pushed in". It's purely optical, but it's a cheap fix that doesn't seem to affect performance.

i ran spacers on stock twists after lowering the car for the looks as well as the stance. i think it's an excellent decision, and that you'll be pleased with the look and more importantly even, the handling.

i ran 7 front 15 rear. was perfectly flush no rubbing, looked awesome. my new wheels achieved the same thing without spacers though.which is better still.

go for it.

SSST ~ Either 7mm or 15mm or combo thereof as others do will definitely look better than none at all IMHO. I'm running 7mm all four corners. I have the same wheel offsets, tire sizes and X73 suspension that you have. To help with your decision, I took some pics so you could see what the 7mm looks like:

Sanyata,

Thanks for taking the time. Your setup looks perfect. I think 14mm on the front would be too much.

Thanks again.

I installed the 17mm factory spacers on the front and have no issues with rubbing so anything less and you should be fine. Nothing in the rear yet but thinking 7 or 10mm to even out the spacing.

Just make sure that you use a quality set of wheel spacers that are Hub Centric and that you also use bolts that are longer to accommodate your new spacers. If you need any help getting anything, I would be happy to assist you with anything that you need.

I have the Adaptec spacers - 14mm rear/7mm front - sorry no pics.

(Now I just need to get a new suspension - to make things look and feel good).

I decided to go with the adaptec spacers. Everyone here seems to like them.

SSST- 15 mm all around here and it looks great. No rubbing problems either. It increased my tract by just over an inch too.

No, but H&R makes decent stuff. I didn't think to check their site when looking at them.
