Default Differnt 968 Models ?

Quick question, just trying to learn a little more about this model. Anyways,
What types, or models(turbo, NA, CS, etc) of 968s were offerd in the United States. Production #s of each model would be helpful too, but not necessary. Thanks for the Help, Ryan.

All this information is over on 968.net, and more. Only normally aspirated cabs and coupes, 6 speed or tip, were offered here.

Hi Ryan,

If you're looking for books on the 968, here's a few recommendations:

Thanks Trevor, lol. We need to make this a more active site for 968s. It is really lacking compared to other models.

Who is bashing 968.net? We just want to increase traffic on this forum and make it as active for 968s as it is for 944s. Thats all. after all Rennlist rules for waterpumpers!

My mistake, it just seemed that there was a bit of rivallry going on between the two forums which I could not understand.

Not to worry, both good sites full of people who love the car.

Exactly Will, I just don't want people to think that coming or posting to rennlist is a mistake. I feel that the same info should be available both places and people can pick and chose where they want to get their info from. When it comes to 944s you can't beat rennlist so no reason we can't come upto speed on 968s.
There are a few of us that frequent this site that can provide some value to this forum inluding you .

Hey bud, how are you!!
Its so nice to see you here. How are things going. Man, you put a big smile on my face . I see that you have been very busy. When you free up, let me know so we can hook up sometime. Me and Damian are both looking forward to meeting you soon.
BTW, how did the cv shaft swap come out?
Take care.

I haven't been at this house for more than two days in a row in over a month- so the 968 will await available time. Only 'fix' done recently was the under hood light repair...whoopee.

The CV's are about the same- I have all tools and some insructions for removing, repacling, and reinstalling. I also have located two half shafts that sound like a good deal should I need them. Figure to do all this in December when I have to burn up the vacation...

I did have a chance to have someone knowledgeble listen to the flywheel and determined that at this time there was no obvious fault- this said, I will keep a close ear to the various noises eminating from the drivetrain (most normal).

Haven't put 200 miles on the car since August...even considered selling it to a guy who wants a black 968 with M030...but got over that impulse rather quickly. Patience is not my strong suit.

Back on the road tomorrow, and staying there through mid November...what a drag! But it is paying me well, and as evidenced by past posts by others- it is a brutal job market right now- so I will wuit bitching and get back to work- seeya!
