Default Time to replace brake pads - recommendations?

Looking for recommendations. Primarily street driving with autocross once in a great while. Low dust would be ideal.

I cant recommend a pad compound but Jason at paragon products has an extensive assortment.

notes

if you are replacing the vibration isolators, I found it easier to mount the pads then slip the loaded caliper over the rotor.

internally, the stock rotors have a small ridge between the vanes but the coated sebro rotors did not on the non m030 style. maybe a little bit more heat dissipating mass

I'm also planning on replacing pads. Anyone know about Porterfield r4-s pads? They were recommended for low brake dust and good braking efficiency, even when cool,

I like Porsche brake pads. I think they're Textar. Everything else has lame compromises like eats rotors, doesn't bite when cold, too much dust, etc etc.

I didn't care much for the Porterfield R4S pads. Felt they were lacking in bite. Really liked the Porterfield R4 which stopped faster but dusty and noisey. Now I have Stoptech which I think work well in both worlds for the price. JMO

And that assortment just got larger . If I missed a brand you're interested in, let me know and we'll get it added.

Which StopTechs are you using - Street or Sport? Either way, are you saying that these produice less dust than other brands you've tried?
